I heard from Randy earlier today and he said that they arrived safely in Nairobi, had a good night's sleep, and a great day out at Endana for their first day! I am going to try to remember everything he asked me to blog about!
The first thing he told me was how impressed he has been with Sportsman's Arms, the hotel they are staying at. He said the hotel was nice and the food was good...much better than he expected! He said he must have had low expectations, and that that was probably a good thing because he was pleasantly surprised!
The team enjoyed going out to Endana. Everything looks good and he said the school has two new buildings with six new rooms! It was good to see familar faces for those who had been before, and several of the team were able to meet the children they sponsor. He said it was kind of a day of introductions and getting to meet everyone.
Tomorrow he said that they will be going to three locations for church and then have some meetings in the afternoon. Pray for those who are preaching and for their time with the people there!
Something he wanted me to make sure to say is how impressed he has been with all of the students on the trip. He said that every trip he has been on has been the same, but that this Kenya trip is no exception. The students are all on time, ready and willing to help, and so happy and agreeable! Way to go BPF students!
I'm sure I forgot something, but we will continue to update the blog! Remember that they are about 8 hours ahead of us here in Lake Jackson.
